Establishing the elevation for mean high water is one of the most fascinating aspects of surveying and mapping. This is your opportunity to learn the statutory requirements for determination of mean high water and mean low water.
This 18-hour class will provide extensive step-by-step instruction to set up a tide study. The training will assist the surveyor and mapper in better understanding the responsibilities of conducting a tide study and the problems that may be encountered. Students will compute several tide studies during the eighteen hours. You will need a laptop with Excel, a calculator, writing materials, and water shoes or sandals.
Note: This is not a crash course on Tidal Water Boundaries.
